Once you have checked what Tom Cat has said and you are sure oil is leaking from behind the pulley, the big question is "can the transmission mainshaft oil seal be replaced without stripping the engine?"
Sorry, I don't know. Hopefully someone who does will post the answer!
Failing that, you will have to find out for yourself. I've just looked in my Clymer manual and on page 167, figure 8 shows the transmission mainshaft oil seal retainer being removed and the oil seal is fully visible. There's a spacer behind the pulley and when this is removed, the seal might be accesible. You can definatly do this much with the engine still in the frame. The photo looks like you might be able to remove the seal without stripping the motor.
I'd certainly have a look at least.
Good luck removing the pulley nut too. I had to connect two socket bars to get a 4 foot lever to get enough torque to remove that nut.
